The photographer works for the Seattle newspaper so he had access to aerial photography, close ups of the scientists, and archival shots. The photographs and their explanations provide a very nice history of the Elwha, its dams, and its restoration. Also, this book has nice links and suggested||..a beautiful book about the realization of the largest dam removal project in North America and the actual restoration of a river’s ecosystem.
